What is GPC.Knockout?
GPC.Knockout is a unique concept for simracing. GPC.Knockout is a tournament competition in which
drivers go head-to-head in several rounds. Each driver has one Time Limited lap for each round.
The winner of the head-to-head fight proceeds to the next round. The loser is eliminated.
Basically, the structure of a GPC.Knockout tournament is very similar to ther structure of a
tennis Grand Slam tournament.
Before each round, the drivers that managed to proceed to that round are shuffled and, using a
randomization script, pairs of drivers are created. This match-up process decides who you are
racing against in the round. Typically, a GPC.Knockout tournament consists of 6 rounds in which
64 drivers match up and the final decides what driver will take home the crown.
How far can you reach? Don't forget that it is all about one single lap. The pressure is on.
Even the best hotlappers make mistakes and if it happens when one of the best drivers is going
head-to-head with you, you could proceed to the next round and eliminate a favorite!
